Great session this month - something a little different!
Lots of discussion around old records and how to recover lost quality from scratches and general wear. We touched ever so brielfy on the amazing Audacity recording software which will go a very long way to helping with editing recordings. There are many tutorials available online. Please feel free to share your experiences here.

There is some interest in converting from VHS tape. If there is sufficient interest in this topic we can look at putting together a session.

Remember, rather than dragging your computer to the stereo or vice versa, you can use your laptop, iPad, iPhone or Android device to make the initial recording. You can later edit using Audacity on your larger screen PC. Quickest and best quality connection method is via a USB DAC (Digital Audio Converter) like the Behringer UCA202. Shop around for deals under $50
